The Time MachineThe Time Machine by H.G. Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Time Machine by H G Wells is one of the first books of science fiction. The imagination of Wells is extraordinary and he has weaved the story of a time traveler with superb imagery. One gets lost in the vivid picturesque description of the life on earth in 802,701 A.D. In this book, the time-traveler, as the protagonist is referred by, goes to the future and faces strange circumstances and meets two different forms of Human race evolved by then- the small, childlike and elegant Eloi and the nocturnal, ape-like Morlocks. After escaping the carnivorous Morlocks, and a series of interesting events, he finally succeeds to return to his time machine, and traverses through 30 million years in time to see the end of life on earth. Finally, he returns back to earth and tells his story to the narrator.
